On our FAQ's and information page you will find links to other pages containing a wealth of
information its way too much to put all on one page so I have broken it down into categories.
Everything on this page I have been asked many times or I find it is
valuable information for our new puppy families to know and have.
I will continue to update this page regularly with new information.
One of my goals is to make sure you as a new puppy parent have all the information
and support you need  from me ,and then some!

I AM HERE ANYTIME TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS AND WOULD LOVE TO
HELP YOU WITH YOUR DECISION. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CALL OR EMAIL
ANYTIME!!!

We love having visitors at The Cottage!
Please understand that these rules are for the protection of our new babies. Also please remember
that this is our home and we are not a kennel.

We ask that each person who wishes to visit our home reads and follows our guidelines, suggestions and
requirements.

Thank you!

We have had to make these changes due to the fact that some people have
tried to take advantage of our prior policies.

When you come for your visit:

1. Please let us know if you have recently visited any kennels, breeders, pet stores, or handled any other
puppies. We will ask that you re-schedule your visit for another day for the safety of our puppies.

2. PLEASE notify us if you have recently had a puppy/dog become ill or die of parvovirus
(or any other canine diseases) in your home. In most cases you must wait at least a year and do
intensive sanitizing before purchasing another puppy.
This is for your protection and ours!

3. Please do NOT bring your current pets with you to our home. We understand that you would like to
see the puppies interact with your dog or cat, but due to the risk involved, we simply cannot allow it.

4. If you are bringing young children we ask that you talk with them prior to the visit about how to
properly interact with a young puppy. They will not be allowed to hold the puppies unless you feel that
they are mature/old enough to be gentle and not hurt the puppies.
Although Schnauzers are very sturdy pups accidents can happen.

Purchasing a puppy is a long term commitment. We know that you may have a lot of questions that need
answering and we are always here to answer them!

While raising puppies is very rewarding for me it is also extremely demanding. Raising a litter comes
with a cost financially and sadly sometimes emotionally! Puppies can get sick, and despite vaccinations
and all the best veterinary care sadly they can die. Moms may have problems whelping, and caesarian's are
necessary. All kinds of things can, and occasionally do, go wrong when you take care of live animals
but it is my goal to protect and care for my wonderful fur babies in the best way possible!

There are so many wonderful people who love their dogs more than anything! These dogs often provide
companionship to sick children, the elderly, and the lonely. They give joy and excitement to young
people and adults who train them and enter them in dog shows or competitions. Often times our pups are
also trained as therapy dogs for children and the elderly in hospitals or retirement centers. There is no
limit to how much love, pleasure, excitement and plain old companionship these dogs can offer. So as long
as I can provide
this joy to families, I will continue to breed the best pets possible and educate the families to be
the best pet owners they can be!

Note: We will no longer entertain visitors that just wish to, “see if you are allergic to Schnauzers”, or if
you “just want to play with a puppy”. Schnauzers are hypoallergenic and do not shed.
Serious Visitors will only be allowed to come and: choose their puppy or pick up their reserved puppy
this is to help minimize any illness that may come in. Visitors will not be allowed to view newborn
puppies or moms. Puppies will be available for viewing
AFTER 7 weeks and their first shot. We WILL
NOT give you our address via email  you will need to call and personally talk to me or send me your
phone number and I will be happy to call you. The internet is a BIG world and unfortunately opens the
doors for some dis-honest people.

ALL OUR PUPPIES AND ADULTS ARE KEPT CURRENT ON WORMING'S,
VACCINATIONS, AND FLEA CONTROL. WE BATHE AND GROOM ON A WEEKLY
BASIS.  NOT EVERYONE GETS CUT WEEKLY, BUT EVERYONE DOES GET
BATHED AND BRUSHED. YES THIS IS A LOT OF WORK BUT OUR SCHNAUZER
KIDS LOVE TO BE CLEAN, AND I LIKE THEM TO BE INSIDE SO CLEAN IS A MUST
:)

SIZE OF SCHNAUZERS:
Teacup, Toy and Mini Size Schnauzers is what we have here. I prefer to NOT have the Teacups and DO
NOT BREED for them. We do however get them on occasion.
When we do get one they WILL NOT LEAVE BEFORE 12-16 wks so we can be sure
they get the best start in life.

No one can perfectly predict the size a puppy will be full-grown. We base our estimates
on the size of the parents and the size of pups from past litters. Sometimes puppies will
pick up genes from previous generations and be larger or smaller than their parents.
We can make better estimates on size when pups are 6-7 weeks old, and we may
adjust our prices accordingly. We will not raise the price if a deposit is
already placed on a puppy.

OUR POLICY ON BREEDING RIGHTS:
TSC DOES NOT OPENLY GIVE BREEDING RIGHTS, THIS WILL BE ASSESSED ON A
CASE BY CASE BASIS. THEREFOR ALL PUPPIES WILL LEAVE ON SPAY AND
NEUTER CONTRACTS AND LIMITED REGISTRATION PAPERS APRI or AKC TO BE
GIVEN WHEN YOU SHOW PROOF OF SPAY OR NEUTER NO PAPERS WILL EVER
BE FURNISHED ON ANY TEACUPS. IF YOU ARE WANTING TO BREED YOU WILL
NEED TO DISCUSS THIS WITH ME BEFORE ACCEPTANCE OF YOUR PUPPY. NO
EXCEPTIONS!!!
